Peoria (September 8, 2026) — Michael Finn’s campaign for Mayor of Peoria has earned the support of six members of the Arizona Legislature representing the Peoria community, adding to a growing coalition of local, regional, and statewide leaders backing his campaign.
State Senators Kevin Payne and Frank Carroll, along with State Representatives Lisa Fink, Beverly Pingerelli, David Livingston and Tony Rivero, have each endorsed Finn, citing his experience on the Peoria City Council and his record of supporting public safety, fiscal responsibility, economic development and responsible growth.
State Senator Kevin Payne pointed to Finn’s record on public safety, responsible growth and long-term planning. “Mike Finn has been that kind of leader for Peoria. His commitment to supporting our first responders, encouraging responsible economic growth, and ensuring our city is prepared for the future makes him the right choice for Mayor,” Payne said. “I’m proud to endorse Mike because I know he’ll continue putting Peoria families first.”
That record of leadership was echoed by State Senator Frank Carroll, who emphasized the trust Finn has built during his time on the City Council. “He has earned the trust of the community through principled leadership and a commitment to doing what’s right. Peoria deserves a Mayor who leads with integrity and puts people before politics,” Carroll said. “That’s why I’m proud to endorse Mike Finn for Mayor.”
State Representative Lisa Fink added to the focus on public safety, emphasizing Finn’s commitment to protecting Peoria’s children and families. “Every parent should feel confident that their children are safe at school, in their neighborhood, and throughout the community they call home,” Fink said. “During his time on the City Council, Peoria has continued investing in our police, expanding resources for victims, strengthening school safety, and giving our first responders the tools they need to protect our community.”
State Representative Beverly Pingerelli pointed to the connection between education, economic opportunity and Peoria’s future, drawing on her years of service on the Peoria Unified School District Governing Board. “Peoria’s future depends on giving the next generation the education, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed,” Pingerelli said. “Mike Finn shares that commitment. His experience in both education and city government, along with his focus on bringing high-quality jobs and new economic opportunities to Peoria, will help ensure our students have opportunities to build successful careers right here in the community they call home.”
Finn’s financial experience also drew support from State Representative David Livingston, who has worked extensively on financial and budget issues at the State Capitol. “Mike has the background needed to make smart budget decisions, protect taxpayers, and plan for Peoria’s long-term future,” Livingston said. “His experience and judgment will help keep Peoria financially strong and moving forward.”
State Representative Tony Rivero, who previously served on the Peoria City Council, added that Finn brings the combination of experience and fiscal discipline needed to manage the city’s continued growth. “Michael Finn has the financial expertise, public-sector experience, and commitment to fiscal responsibility needed to help Peoria continue growing the right way,” Rivero said. “He understands how to balance economic development with protecting taxpayers and maintaining the quality of life that makes Peoria such a great place to live.”
“I’m grateful to have the support of legislators who know Peoria, understand our priorities and share our commitment to keeping this community a great place to live, work and raise a family,” Finn said. “As Mayor, I’ll work closely with our partners at the State Capitol to make sure Peoria has a strong voice and the resources we need to support public safety, strengthen our economy and plan responsibly for the future.”
