Mayor Jason Beck Endorses Michael Finn for Mayor of Peoria

Peoria (June 2, 2026) — Peoria Mayor Jason Beck announced today his endorsement of Vice Mayor Michael Finn in his campaign to become the next Mayor of Peoria, citing Finn’s leadership on public safety, fiscal responsibility, and economic development.

As Mayor of Peoria and founder and CEO of TYR Tactical, a leading manufacturer of protective equipment used by military and law enforcement personnel around the world, Beck has long been a champion of public safety and innovation. His endorsement highlights Finn’s role in helping advance many of the city's recent accomplishments and his readiness to continue that progress.

In announcing his endorsement, Mayor Beck stated, “I’ve had the opportunity to work with Vice Mayor Finn on the Peoria City Council, and I’ve seen firsthand his commitment to public safety, fiscal responsibility, and strong economic development. Together, we have set Peoria heading in the right direction by improving emergency response times and putting public safety first. Mike is the only candidate with the experience and integrity to see these efforts through. We can count on Michael Finn to help Peoria reach its full potential, and I’m proud to support him as our next Mayor.”

Finn said he was honored to receive the endorsement of Mayor Beck, whose leadership has helped strengthen Peoria’s reputation as one of Arizona’s safest and most business-friendly cities.

“Mayor Beck has dedicated his career to protecting those who protect us, both through his service as Mayor and through his work supporting military and law enforcement professionals across the globe,” said Vice Mayor Finn. “I am grateful for his support and proud of the work we have accomplished together to make public safety the top priority in Peoria.”

Finn noted that over the past several years, the city has made significant investments in public safety, including adding personnel, enhancing technology, and improving emergency response capabilities. Those efforts have helped ensure that Peoria remains one of Arizona’s safest communities while keeping pace with the city’s continued growth.

“Public safety is the foundation upon which strong communities are built,” Finn said. “Families choose to live in Peoria because they know it is a safe place to raise their children, build businesses, and enjoy a high quality of life. As Mayor, I will continue supporting our police officers, firefighters, and first responders while making sure we have the resources and planning necessary to meet the needs of a growing city.”

During their time serving together on the City Council, Beck and Finn have worked to strengthen public safety services, support economic development projects, and maintain Peoria’s strong financial position.
