Peoria (March 3, 2026) — The Arizona Police Association (APA), one of the state’s leading law enforcement advocacy organizations, announced its endorsement of Vice Mayor and Peoria City Councilmember Michael Finn in his campaign for Mayor of Peoria.

The Arizona Police Association represents thousands of law enforcement professionals across Arizona and advocates for policies that promote officer support, public safety integrity, and responsible governance at both the local and state levels.

APA Executive Director, Joe Clure states, “Vice Mayor Michael Finn has demonstrated a strong and consistent commitment to public safety throughout his service on the Peoria City Council. He understands that effective law enforcement requires responsible leadership, sound budgeting, and meaningful support for the men and women who serve in uniform. The Arizona Police Association strongly endorses Michael Finn to serve as Peoria’s next Mayor.”

“I am honored to earn the endorsement of the Arizona Police Association,” said Vice Mayor Finn. “Public safety policy must be grounded in accountability, stability, and respect for the rule of law. I have always believed that elected officials have a responsibility to provide clear direction, responsible budgets, and unwavering support for those who protect our communities.”

Finn continued, “The men and women who serve in law enforcement deserve leaders who understand the broader public safety landscape - from policy decisions to funding priorities and long-term planning. As Mayor, I will continue to champion policies that strengthen our public safety institutions and ensure Peoria remains one of Arizona’s safest and most well-managed cities.”

During his tenure on the Peoria City Council, Finn has consistently prioritized public safety in city budgeting and strategic planning efforts, supporting responsible resource allocation and long-term investments that strengthen the city’s public safety infrastructure.
