PEORIA (February 12, 2026) — The Peoria Chapter of the United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association (UPFFA) Local 493, in joint support with the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona (PFFA), proudly endorsed Michael Finn’s campaign for Mayor of the City of Peoria today.
As part of the endorsement, Darin Fox, Chapter President, Peoria, of UPFFA Local 493 said, “Throughout your service on the Peoria City Council, you have demonstrated a consistent commitment to public safety, open communication, and ensuring Peoria’s firefighters have the resources needed to serve the community. Local 493 and the PFFA represent more than 8,000 firefighters and their families across Arizona. This endorsement reflects our confidence in your leadership and our intent to continue working with you to prioritize community safety.”
Vice Mayor Michael Finn stated, “During my more than a decade on the Peoria City Council, I have been a long-time supporter of public safety and have been proud to have earned the endorsement of Peoria’s brave first responders on multiple occasions. For them to have my back in this bid for Mayor is incredibly special and important to me. I look forward to continuing to work with them to keep our city heading in the right direction.”
Recently, Finn supported the two new fire stations that are in the works in North Peoria to meet the demands of rapid population and economic growth. These stations will ensure emergency response times in the area remain strong as the community continues to expand and relieve stations in other parts of the city – benefiting all of Peoria.
“Every second in a fire or medical emergency can be the difference between life and death. I look forward to working with our fire fighters and their leadership to ensure that our fire and emergency department have the staffing and tools they need to continue to be there when we need them most,” concluded Finn.
